BiographyThe 2007/08 season, my fifth in competitive skeleton racing, was my best yet. Silver at the World Championships in Altenberg, Germany, four World Cup podium finishes, and the Canadian national title for the second year in a row earned me the ranking of 2nd in the world by the sport’s governing body, the Federation Internationale de Bobsleigh et de Togogganing (FIBT).
I got my start in skeleton racing in 2002, participating in a Bobsleigh Canada Skeleton (BCS) Talent ID Camp. Since then, the journey has been a steady climb up the rankings, and down a slippery slope. After competing first on the America’s Cup circuit, followed by two years on the Europa Cup circuit, 2008/09 will be my third season on the World Cup Tour and Senior National Team.
For 2008/09, I’m focused on building on my success last year. Looking to the Vancouver Olympics in 2010, I’m confident that with hard work, accompanied by the support of my friends, family and sponsors, I can live my dream of attaining Olympic gold.
