Support My JourneyIn the past, I have climbed a number of mountains, actual and metaphorical. For my latest challenge, I am running in this year's New York City marathon. I was fortunate enough to enter this sought-after amazing race through the generosity of others. As a big thank you for that favor, I'm trying to complete the karmic circle by raising money with my run for a great cause. Please sponsor me and help make a difference. Together, with your support, we can reach my fundraising goal.
Running a marathon has always been on my to-do list and a number of knee injuries suggested that it might not be ever possible. But, nearly 10 years after an abrupt end to my competitive skiing career, I'm on my way to reaching the goal of my first marathon.
I don't think I would have this goal, or be near achieving it, if I hadn't grown up playing sports. All kinds of sports -- softball, soccer, skiing, swimming, backyard football, and even tree climbing. Right To Play is an organization that knows the benefits of sport and playing and makes efforts to see that children all over the world get access to equipment and education to just play. Many of my former teammates have supported and worked for Right To Play and I think what they do for kids is phenomenal. Support me in my run by supporting Right To Play with a donation.
THANK YOU to everyone who came out to my event on October 7 and who have helped me reach and far exceed my initial goal. With just a few weeks left my body is feeling ready for the marathon. Please continue to support Right to Play! Come out on November 7 for marathon if you're in NYC!
Thank you for all your support,
Sarah
