She's at it again!
After Colleen’s successful crossing of Lake Ontario 3 years ago in a time of 16 hours and 30 minutes, she thought her business was finished with Lake Ontario.
Last summer under new coach, Brent Aquino, she started doing some of her best open water swims to date and wondered what her time could have been in 2006 had she had the same coaching. The answer: only one way to find out. Do It Again!!
On August 7/8(weather pending) Colleen, age 57, will take to the waters one last time (a retirement swim, so to speak) in hopes of coming close to if not breaking the female speed record of 15 hours 10 minutes.
“It’s wonderful that I can even think of doing something like this at my age. I think it says a lot for middle aged women out there that “you can if you think you can”. Action your dreams!!!
