As a part of my senior project I have been providing hitting and pitching lessons to young girls in the Gig Harbor area. In return for lessons, the families are donating to the charity, Right to Play. Right to Play is an amazing organization whose mission is to "improve the lives of children in some of the world's most disadvantaged areas by using the power of sport and play to promote development, health, and peace." They do this by sending teams to war stricken, disease heavy and impoverished countries to teach children sporting games and the importance of health, confidence, and a sense of belonging. Although I cannot commit a year of my life at this time to volunteer in countries such as Azerbaijan, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Sudan, and Zambia I am able to help raise money. It is my goal to raise $1,000 by the end of May. Any donations you are able to give would be greatly appreciated! Thank you so much for supporting this amazing organization!
